The NSW Premier, the Hon. Morris Iemma was the guest of honour at the 2008 Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Premier’s Dinner held on 4th March 2008 to celebrate the achievements of the not for profit organisation.

Speaking at the gala event, Mr Iemma, who is also the President of Keep Australia Beautiful NSW, said environmental issues had never been more important for the community or for governments.

"As a community we all have to take responsibility for looking after the environment and facing up to the challenges of climate change.

"Grassroots campaigns like those run by Keep Australia Beautiful NSW are essential because they help make these sometimes complex issues tangible and teach us what we can do to make a difference.

"Keep Australia Beautiful NSW is a fantastic organisation that has my full support and the full support of my Government.

"I warmly endorse and share the Keep Australia Beautiful NSW vision for a sustainable future,” Mr Iemma said.
