NSW Environmental Trust funding opportunities

Urban Sustainability Program Round 3

Round 3 of the Urban Sustainability Program is open for applications from local councils, regional organisations of councils and other local government organisations for funding for projects in the areas of:

• Major Projects — Closes 20 June 2008
• Urban Waterways Initiative Projects — Closes 20 June 2008

$30 million in total funding is available over three years through the Urban Sustainability Program.

Urban Sustainability Program Round 2 - approved grants announced

Round 2 of the NSW Government’s Environmental Trust Urban Sustainability Program has recently allocated $14.9 million to:

• 10 major projects involving 57 councils
• five urban waterway initiative projects involving six councils
• five sustainability planning projects.

NSW Climate Change Fund

Green Business successful applicants

Round 1 of the Green Business Program under the NSW Government’s Climate Change Fund has recently allocated $11.7 million to 24 projects, saving an estimated 164 million litres of drinking water and 36,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions a year.
