Banksia Forum LogoThe Banksia Environmental Foundation is pleased to announce the Prime Minister's Environmentalist of the Year Award 2007 winner, Arron Wood will speak at the Inaugural Banksia Forum – "Engendering Change Through Commitment", which is being held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre on the 21st and 22nd November 2007.

Mr Wood will be speaking in the Forum's 'Biodiversity' Session. He will discuss the question 'How can nature compete in a world increasingly dominated by economics?'

Other speakers at the Forum include:

  • Dr. Truckenbrodt, DaimlerChrsyler Hybrid Division Michigan USA talking about Sustainable Mobility – What Can I Do?
  • Jenny Brockie – SBS Insight – Hosting our opening session to discuss 'What are the drivers for change and directions for the future?'
  • James Moodie - General Manager, International Development CSIRO and presenter on ABC Inventors program featured in our Water Session.

The Banksia Forum is about you and your sustainability journey, it will explore issues such as driving cultural change, putting theory into action and future possibilities.  The Forum will consist of the following sessions: Biodiversity, Built Environment, Sustainability, Water and Energy.
