Living Sustainably

Issue 5 - Aug 2007

Green Capital Logo

The Total Environment Centre's Green Capital Sustainable Staff Training program has successfully completed two pilot training days with major companies Diageo Australia and Philips Electronics Australia.

Both companies committed enthusiastically to the training as an opportunity to integrate sustainability cross-functional thinking and initiatives across their business.

A total of 32 middle and senior managers participated in the one day training programs in May 2007.

Most participants said that training days helped to increase their interest in taking action towards sustainability. They reported a newfound capacity to identify opportunities to implement commercial sustainability initiatives and an increased understanding of how to make practical changes in company systems and processes.
