Carlingford Court introduced a sustainability induction program and workshops for tenants

Sustainability is a part of any competitive business. The more than 300 businesses who are Sustainability Advantage members are practicing this daily and sharing their learnings and experiences in quarterly cluster meetings.

Austral Bricks $153,420 in energy saved annually from improvements to the compressed air system, power factor correction equipment and lighting
Carlingford Court 100 per cent reduction in use of gas for heating – a saving of over 442,000MJ and approximately $10,000
Converga Completed a Life Cycle Analysis of paper-based versus digital solutions and identified significant carbon emissions savings
De Bortoli Wines Upgraded its wastewater treatment facility at Bilbul. Re-used winery wastewater generates $200,000 in income
Inghams 50 per cent reduction of waste at some sites – with savings of more than $150,000 per annum
Ontera Modular Carpets 40 per cent reduction in electricity and gas use in the last five years, saving $18,000 per annum
Rondo Building Services Projected 50 per cent reduction in town water consumption by harvesting rainwater (95,000 litre tank capacity)
Schindler 32 per cent saving in total KWh of electricity use and $25,200 saved in energy costs annually
Sydney Markets Reduced waste disposal costs by more than $2.5 million (since 2005) and increased recycling from 15 to 50 per cent in less than three years
TAFE NSW Northern Sydney Institute 16.25 per cent reduction in gas use between 2006–2007, saving 270 tonnes of greenhouse gas and $57,600
