Living Sustainably

Issue 10 - Feb 2009

NSW households can save money, water, energy and greenhouse gas emissions by applying for rebates under the $100 million NSW Climate Change Fund Residential rebate program.

Save:

The $35 Fridge Buyback rebate is paid when collection involves six or less stairs. Collection is free, but no rebate is paid, where collection involves between 6-20 stairs.

Under the program, refrigerant gases are collected and destroyed using trained staff licensed under the Australian Refrigeration Council’s requirements.

The $150 rebate for 4.5 star washing machines is available for purchases from 1 August 2008.
