Strategies and research

Find out about strategies and the future directions for GreenPower:

• "GreenPower from Strength to Strength" – A formal Review of GreenPower options and the program itself was undertaken by the Department of Energy Utilities and Sustainability (DEUS).  The aim "was to enhance the effectiveness of GreenPower in supporting new renewable energy development".

  A discussion paper "GreenPower, From Strength to Strength" was released in June 2005, with submissions and responses to this paper forming the basis for the released outcomes paper.

Kyoto Protocol and climate change

• Kyoto Protocol – is an international treaty aiming to reduce greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere. The treaty sets legally binding limits on greenhouse gas emissions, among other things. Australia has signed the Kyoto Protocol. Find out more about this treaty
