Volunteering

Did you know?

Over four million Australians volunteer their time.  Volunteering for our environment is a great way to give something back to our community.  Do something practical to preserve NSW's beautiful environment.

What can I do?

Water saving, recycling, animal and marine life protection, bushland care, pollution control, waste clean-ups and planting. You can find volunteering opportunities almost anywhere. It all depends on how much time you can spare and how much you want to get involved.

Easy ways to make a difference:

  1. Clean up our waterways and bushland
  2. Install fencing and construct walking tracks
  3. Protect a local waterway or coastline
  4. Work in an environment centre
  5. Help save injured wildlife
  6. Restore natural bushland and revitalise wetlands
  7. Survey and help protect the habitat of endangered species
  8. Get involved in marine and animal life protection
  9. Provide legal, accounting, communications or engineering advice – depending on your skills and qualifications
