Volunteer for Clean Up Australia Day

On "Clean Up Australia Day" volunteers remove tonnes of rubbish from beaches, parks, streets, bushland and waterways across Australia.

Join in the nation's largest community-based environmental event. Every year hundreds of thousands of Australians help clean up their local environment on Clean Up Australia Day.

It's fun, easy and rewarding – everyone can take part. Individuals and local groups can either organise a Clean Up site or volunteer to join an existing site.

Keep Australia Beautiful

Keep Australia Beautiful encourages a statewide network of grassroots volunteers who work to deliver a cleaner environment, better resource management and community beautification.

Keep Australia Beautiful's core programs are based on competitions and awards that motivate and recognise community commitment and resourcefulness in making a positive difference to the environment.

Clean Beach Challenge

The Clean Beach Challenge is a fun competition, which aims to enhance beachside communities by promoting personal initiative, civic pride and environmental awareness. Through competition and awards, the program provides recognition to people who care for their community and coastal environment.

Tidy Towns

Tidy Towns is the largest practical environmental program serving regional New South Wales. Around 130 cities, towns, villages and schools throughout NSW participate in the annual program.

Awards are presented each year for the overall "Tidiest Town" recognising issues such as heritage, waste, habitat protection and business partnerships. Get involved.
