Environmental Message
The CityRail network operates in the Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan area and provides a green mode of transport. One CityRail train with 1,000 passengers on board is equivalent to a 15km queue of cars. CityRail carries 1 million passengers in Sydney every weekday.
CityRail is committed to operating in a manner that respects the environment, the people we employ and the communities we serve.
We will strive to continually improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution associated with our activities.
RailCorp will pursue activities that protect the global and local environment and that are consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development.
