Australian Conservation Foundation 

 

The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) is committed to inspiring people to achieve a healthy environment for all Australians.  For 40 years we have been a strong voice for the environment, promoting solutions through research, consultation, education and partnerships.  We work with the community, business and government to protect, restore and sustain our environment.

Total Environment Centre 

 

Established in 1972, the Total Environment Centre (TEC) is a non-government, non-profit campaign, advocacy and resource centre for environmental protection.  TEC works on a vast range of environmental issues – natural and urban, coastal and inland, country and city.  It also lobbies for the adoption of policies and laws to protect the environment; and informs the community, business and decision makers about environmental problems and solutions.

Nature Conservation Council of NSW 

 

The Nature Conservation Council of NSW (NCC) serves as the umbrella organisation for more than 120 environmental member groups across NSW.  As the State's peak environmental organisation since 1955, the NCC contributes expertise in community-based education projects and awareness campaigns.

Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability 

 

The Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability (DEUS), formed January 2004, incorporates the programs of the former Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), the Ministry of Energy and Utilities, and Town and Country Water.  It promotes the sustainable, safe, reliable and affordable supply and use of energy and urban water in NSW.

Council of Social Service of New South Wales 

 

Council of Social Service of New South Wales (NCOSS) is the peak body for the social and community services sector in New South Wales. Members range from the smallest community-based services to the largest welfare organisations.  NCOSS plays a coordination, advocacy, policy development, leadership and information role for the social and community services sector in New South Wales.

Local Community Services Association 

 

Local Community Services Association (LCSA) is the peak body for the 300 Neighbourhood and Community Centres in NSW. These centres provide a network of generalist community-based organisations that are an important part of their local community.

Department of Environment and Climate Change NSW 

 

The Department of Environment and Climate Change NSW (DECC) works towards achieving a clean and healthy environment through its administration of environment protection legislation. This legislation covers air, water quality, contaminated land, noise control, pesticides, hazardous chemicals, dangerous goods, radiation and waste as well as national parks and reserves, biodiversity and threatened species, Aboriginal and cultural heritage, historic sites and pest management.
