Living Sustainably

Issue 22 - December 2011
OEH acting Deputy Chief Executive, Bernard Carlon with representatives from Fujitsu

OEH acting Deputy Chief Executive, Bernard Carlon, presented Fujitsu with their award

Congratulations to Fujitsu – winner of the Leading in Sustainability Award – Setting the Standard for Large Organisations at the 2011 Banksia Environmental Awards.

Judges commented that Fujitsu's entry was extremely impressive, with compelling evidence of the integration of sustainability principles into its corporate culture.

Fujitsu are leading in sustainability with its Green Policy 2020, which sets a vision for a prosperous low carbon future. It includes a target for reducing their greenhouse gas emissions worldwide by 15 million tonnes from 2008 to 2012.

Fujitsu acknowledges the seriousness of climate change, and takes sustainability as a guiding principle for working with customers and the wider community.

The Office of Environment and Heritage is a proud sponsor of the Banksia Leading in Sustainability Award – Setting the Standard for Large Organisations.
